Story Behind the Name
One beautiful spring day, while fly fishing on the Llano River in the hill country of central Texas, I paused to have a moment with nature. I closed my eyes feeling the cool spring breeze off the water surrounding me, the sound of water gurgling over rocks, along with the chirping of the brown eagle managing the sky. As I opened my eyes, I realized what a unique gift had been given to me -- the gift of nature allowing me to share with it all its unique sounds, never-ending peace and beauty. Later that day, while sitting along its shores I thought,...the Llano River is very unique in itself, as it has not been influenced by being dammed up or controlled. It’s “lost” in time running freely, cool and cold, as it has for centuries. Like the lost rivers of central Texas, my artwork is mostly inspired by the lost or ancient designs and creations of past cultures and civilizations.
